Bandage Care in Pets

The success for the bandage depends on how great your pet is confined, not allowed to chew or get wet. Keep it clean and dry. Getting the bandage wet will cause smelling odor or infection and then needs pet back to the hospital for a bandage change. If pet chews on bandage then apply a plastic restraint or E. Collar around your pet’s neck to prevent chewing. Make sure toes not cold or swollen and if so immediately remove the bandage and bring your pet to the hospital. Regular bandage rechecks or changing every 2-3 days is recommended.
