SPECIAL PET STORIES

Chiquita  came to us as the smallest amongst the four Chihuahua pups in a litter not gaining much weight and found to have a Congenital Heart Abnormality. This couple in their retirement age could not afford the tests or the surgical costs and decided to euthanize. While telling how much they loved Chiquita, they could not control crying and sobbing. This affected the whole hospital staff and we decided to correctly diagnose and then successfully operated on this pup. Few months later, the daughter came with other sick litter-mate and we were able to get her Mom's birth date. We made a telephone call to Mom on her birthday anniversary and requested her to come in the office with her husband. While they were sitting in the exam room, one of our staff members brought the, now a healthy pup, in her arms and on seeing this the old couple immediately recognized their puppy and started crying again. When the puppy was handed over to Mom, the puppy recognized both of them quickly and started licking their faces. Every one in the exam-room could not control their tears of joy at this very emotional reunion and, the doctor explained the decision to successfully operate and give back to Mom now a healthy "Chiquita" as a birthday gift ... Free of any charge. Of course, no amount of any money can equate the joy of such a kinder gesture in bringing to life their to-be-dead loving pet.

Little Bit  One of our caring customers called one day that "Little Bit" was having  some difficulty in breathing for sometimes and we were surprised to know she had him for 32 years. He had a tumor under his neck area and we convinced her for adopting it to us and reassured that we would try to help him at no charge. Reverend Machesney signed him to us and we removed the tumor which came out to be a metastatic cancer but  not a primary tumor.

He did not improve in breathing so we operated again and found a pea size tumor hanging in his trachea and blocking the passage to breath. Besides he had cancerous larynx. After surgery, his breathing improved significantly and with a lot of TLC we kept him for about  5 and half months before saying him good-bye. He was the oldest cat in our practice.

CoCo One of our clients recently brought her very young terrier mixed puppy, weighing only 4.6 pounds. She had used the above counter flea (for 16-30 pounds) medication about a week prior and the pet had since been vomiting, depressed, weak and with a patch of hair-loss where she put the flea medication resulting in liver damage from over dose. Luckily, Coco is all well now after couple days hospital safety.   Please, Always Read the Label before using any medication for your pets' safety. And please buy the  professional flea products from your Veterinarian approved by FDA / EPA and sold by Manufacturers directly to Veterinarians at an accurate dose. Some times, buying a counter product and its unsafe use  can cost you far more and even your pets' life.

What is your thought, tell us your pet's story. We know your words are more powerful than anything.
